I was diagnosed of HIV last month…it came as a shock to me and I’ve been so depressed ever since thinking of family and what the future will look like for me. I’m currently on antiretroviral treatment that helps suppress the disease to a very low extend making me undetectable to the virus and untransmittable(I can’t transmit to anyone through sex or any means atall) but I’ll have to take the drugs for the rest of my life to stay healthy and remain undetectable and untransmittable. My greatest fear now is how I’d find a wife in future, can any lady accept an HIV positive guy as a husband?
I feel so bad and ruined, I so wish to have kids of mine someday(which is possible due to the drugs i’m taking, they all will be negative). I’m just scared no lady will accept me. I need advice pls,I’m so depressed and confused right now

Please there is no need to be depressed.thank God the drug have improved to this stage.finding a wife is not hard.although am not certain there are people who match-make couples with HIV.try and ask around.or better still have a counsellor to talk to.

Hello poster. I’m sorry about your diagnosis, but also thankful for your life that there is now an antiretroviral medication in existence that puts no loved one around you at risk of being infected. Please don’t be depressed…. You’d find the right woman that will accept and love you with your new medical condition without any complains. Try not to be under any pressure to impress anyone into loving you and never hide the truth from anyone you claim to love. You’d be fine… Take care.
