<em>Volunteering</em> isn't just a way to give back to your community and <em>make</em> yourself feel good, a regular <em>volunteering</em> gig <em>can</em> sometimes turn into <em>paying</em> work. An online volunteer counsellor is someone who uses the internet to provide counselling services. Are you a counsellor in the final year of your Diploma course or a recently qualified counsellor who wants to support their accreditation by counselling people online? A member of a registered governing body? Are you are interested in listening to people and their issues and making them feel better? Join our in-house counselling team to offer short term interventions to young people who might be accessing a counselling service for the first time. If you want to make a difference to young people’s lives, we want to hear from you! <strong>Please note this is a volunteering opportunity and require a commitment of one year.</strong> <h2>What it entails</h2> <ul> <li>Telephone &amp; webchat counselling</li> <li>A few hours a week</li> <li>Flexible around you and your schedule</li> <li>Based at home</li> <li>Commitment of one year</li> </ul> <h2>You can join as a volunteer counsellor if:</h2> <ul> <li>You are currently enrolled in your final year of your counselling course, or recently qualified</li> <li>Are able to perform online counselling.</li> <li>You have a good/working knowledge of the issues with people. Including issues in safeguarding, mental health issues, stigma, and the ability to work ethically.</li> <li>You are someone who is organized, dedicated, reliable, and communicates well in a professional setting.
