I am about to turn 29 and I feel like I have been living with toxic family members for years. My mum and sisters are overprotective. Not too long ago my sister seized my laptop claiming that she is trying to help and that I am lazy. They keep forgetting that I was diagnosed with depression about 10 years ago. Anytime I bring up their behaviour, they guilt trip me. My mum even told one of the housegirls point blank that nothing shall come between her and her daughter. That was enough evidence to me to prove why she hates my boyfriend. They control aspects of my life right from when I was born. They are now pointing oit my inability to do basic house chores or take care of myself when their constant belittling has reduced me to nothing. My mum always tells me that people bully me because I am stupid and I purposely make myself look like an easy target forgettinh that she raised me to never talk back. I am no saint because I skipped classes twice and have bad grades. I forget stuff a lot and often space out. I often fear telling mummy or anyone stuff and actually regret telling my sisters about my blogging and writing ambitions. I also have a Youtube channel and when I told them, they were like “How can that make me money quickly?” They nag me about makinh momey forgetting that we are in a pandemic. Mh sister even told me today that I better not embarrass her after she gets me a job and insulted me after I walked away when they started talking about me. Their words make me suicidal and when people call them out, they start laughing and mockinh my mental health issues. I have not been officially diagnosed yet because my mum ia clearly trying to hold me back.

Hi take it Easy on yourself its not as bad as it seems try and see the positives from every move being made at you, your family actually loves you but maybe don’t know how to show it or don’t even understand you.
Keep the energy positive for your quest to make money and believe in you.

Please try to ignore their words
It is better to blush for a little while than pale for a lifetime.
It means face the truth even if it hurts or keep quiet all your life and continue to endure them. Finally it is not acceptable for their behavior.

Ignore their harsh words
Work on yourself
Take the job
Continue your YouTube
Do you blogging
You can do it
Keep your mind busy
Plan to move out
Plan to grow away from anything that will makes you sad.

Hi you will be fine, don’t let these words get into you. Just like a fish doesn’t let the water get into it’s body. You are intentionally a part of this world and you have a purpose , what they tell you is not what or who you are , and I’m certain you are going to make it. Keep right , stay positive , leave yourselves little positive notes for every bad word you’ve got.
Start like this
‘Hey girl, you are amazing ‘
Be intentional about your thoughts , you are in charge

Beautiful lady I will say do those things that you desire to do and maybe if you can try to get away from that environment from them so you can get your sanity and peace…..it is not really easy to not let what people say get to us but we can try to live in peace and away from toxic environment as that will help us build ourselves
