Try communicating to your parents the reasons why you don’t want further your education to the university, effectively and respectfully expressing your reasons. You can tell them about the skill or a trade you would want to startup or learn; check your area of interest and pick a skill or trade you would love to do.

Also, concerning going to the university, don’t be too quick or feel pressured to make the decision. You can attend parttime classes whilst also building a career in trade. Talk to people of like minds who are already into the skill or trade you want to venture into to help you learn more about it. Seek counselling if you need additional guidance on how to handle the situation.

It is important to do what makes you happy and with a good plan and the right support you can build stability and wealth in the skill you want.
