I had sex with a guy on our first date, after talking for three days. The whole school has heard about, my friends can’t believe it, I can’t believe I did that too. I felt so cheap and feel like I sold my body and soul to him, and I also felt naked.

I forgot about how my body is a temple of God and playing hard to get, I wish I disappeared off the face of the Earth. He talked about it as if it’s nothing. Deep inside me I feel like killing him and myself. I so much hate him. It’s continuing and I want to stop it from happening again. If I get out of this I don’t think I can trust or date any boy. I don’t feel like getting married in the future either. I hate him and I’m scared of doing something bad to him or to myself.

That you feel this way is sad to hear. You have the right to put your mental health first and your feelings are valid, so keep that in mind. After having a sexual encounter that you weren’t ready for or comfortable with, it makes sense that you could be feeling regret and awkwardness.

Consider having an open and honest conversation with the guy involved. Let him know how you’re feeling and establish boundaries moving forward. Communication is key in any relationship, and expressing your concerns may help both of you understand each other better.

Talking about your feelings with someone you trust can help ease the emotions you are feeling and also it is important to seek professional help from a counselling who can help you find better ways to navigate through this situation.

Moving forward, learn to set clear boundaries with people and for yourself; know when to say no and prioritize your own wellbeing. Use this experience to learn more about yourself and how to establish boundaries.
