I understand the fears and concerns you have and although it can seem difficult to stop smoking, it is achievable with the proper assistance and your willingness to put in the work. Take part in mentally and physically engaging activities like working out, taking up something you enjoy, and being around people who don’t smoke can help you stay focused on recovery.
Pay attention to what triggers your urge to smoke, whether it’s stress, certain activities, or social situations, then try to replace smoking with healthier alternatives like chewing gum, sucking on hard candy, or taking deep breaths when you feel the urge to smoke.
Seek accountability and support from friends, family, or support groups, knowing you have people to seek support from can be a big motivation to staying on the course. You might consider counselling or talking to a heath practitioner. Remember, quitting smoking is a process. Stay committed to your goal, be patient with yourself, and celebrate your progress along the way.
