I was in an entanglement at the time so I couldn't take things further with him and he was seeing someone too but we remained good friends however I liked him a lot and I could tell that he also liked me but I wanted him to be direct with his feelings and I didn't want to assume we had a serious thing going on. He ended things with his previous partner and then asked me out but I wasn't in a good space mentally and emotionally to date someone I told him things happened so fast that I found myself in a serious relationship which I struggled to adjust to because of my mental and emotional state at the time as I was struggling to get out of a failed relationship. I struggled to commit to him in the early part of the relationship and it made him feel hurt. He also didn't understand my personality which also caused us issues I went to a concert and went to the club after and I didn't tell him I went to the club which led to him seizing my phone and then he read my messages with my friends and that was when he found out I went to see my 2 exes about 2 months into the relationship and things got messy from there Mind you, this man was in the middle of his divorce when he asked me out and I told him I wanted him to finalize his divorce before we could date properly so I wasn't serious with the relationship earlier on which was why I saw my exes. I actually didn't do anything intimate with any of my exes when I saw them however I slept over just because I couldn't go home I never had anything intimate with them and I actually broke up with them properly when I was leaving. He read my group chat messages with my friend and saw that I had talked about myself and him in the Group and he didn't like it. I have a male friend in the group chat which makes him uncomfortable too literally the only 2 male friends I have made him uncomfortable and he told me to stop talking to them insinuating that I am romantically involved with my male friends which is a lie because we are strictly platonic and nothing more and we had a couple of fights because of the statements he made about my male friends. I had to stop going out with my friends as a group whenever the male friend would be there, he told me to leave the group chat which I refused and also told me to stop entering my friend’s car. Mind you, I stopped going out with this guy for whatever reason other than academic purposes because he is also my classmate, I don't text him randomly or sneak around to see him so I wonder what and why my boyfriend is so uncomfortable because of this boy. I hate that he would always tell me he had a bad dream whenever I wanted to go out for academic purposes with this boy and when I complained about anything he made it seem as though I had romantic feelings for my male friend I got so mad that I hit him out of frustration which I hate myself for so much. I want to fix this relationship but I don't know what to do because the rules he gave me make me uncomfortable and I have apologized severally and now I feel as though he is guilt-tripping me.
