You are not alone, I feel same too but I'm realizing that it's because of how I've conditioned myself to feel that I am an introvert and I can be alone that has caused it. you might not mean to push people off but your body language and facial expression and not being available to communicate to others sends that closed up signal

So here is what I'm doing that I feel is working...focus on being genuinely interested in others in a balanced way, make it a duty to say hello to everyone you meet as much as you can with a smile, compliment someone or something you like and if possible, start a small conversation about it, before you know it, you'll have people wanting to connect with you.. take yourself out, spend more time outside

Be mindful of your facial expressions and choose an affirmation you say throughout the day and constantly remind yourself that you are loved and approachable

Improving your social skills can boost your confidence and help you connect with people more easily. start by practicing greeting people, engage in small talks, or joining conversations. The more you practice, the more comfortable and easy it will be for you.
