Finding out your partner has molested his own mind can cause you to feel different waves of emotion from shock, to fear, anger and sadness. This may cause you to fear for the safety of your own children (if you have had any with him). It is important to provide support and care to the child at this time.

Also, you may want to reevaluate the future of your marriage; do you think you can be able to continue in the marriage? Have you able to provide support to the child and how are you handling your emotions?

It’s not been an easy road for me, I feel like has got nothing good for me cause this same man has been violently abusive to me from words of mouth to hitting me and just when I was wrapping it all in my mind that have just experienced the worst part of my marriage vow then, Boom! This one just added to it. Funny enough I just gave birth months back and to a girl child. I have been asking out of the marriage ever since the day he attempted strangling me to death in one of his hitting sessions but No! Family will not encourage that…right now, the same family is persuading i still stay inbthe marriage but I don’t think I care about family or people’s opinion anymore as I solely want out and saved, if not for myself but for my child. Thank you for your response

I am really sorry you are experiencing horrific acts of violence in a marriage that is supposed to bring you joy and peace, but how long do you think you can continue to cover him? You should seek legal counsel on what to do going forward. Have you thought of the future of your daughter and what it may be like? You understand it could be your daughter next right?

Don’t you think you deserve to be in a marriage were you are loved and respected and treated right? Try not to allow family and others influence your decision, they don’t know what you have endured. What ever decision you are making, be sure you and the children’s safety is guaranteed and they would be proud of you and how you protected them. Also, you should consider speaking with a counselor about this situation. It may help you find clarity and understand better ways to go about this situation.
