We created Truthshare because we care about privacy. We don’t collect any personally identifiable information from you, but we do use some 3rd party tools to help us improve your experience. You’ll find everything you need to know here.

What Do We Collect?

Registered Users

To register a account all you need is a username and password. To protect your anonymity we recommend choosing a username that does not include any personal information such as your first or last name.

Post Data

When you submit a public post to we save a record of the title, the main text, and the date and time it was submitted. We also make a note of how many times it has been read, reported, and if you chose to enable commenting.

Finally, anonymous posts to our Share Your Story Page can be posted on our social media handles like Instagram, Facebook & Twitter. Also on our podcasts and on our email marketing campaigns.

That’s it.

Our database contains no further information that could allow us, the website owners, to know who wrote a specific post.

This does not mean that you are untraceable. For example, your browser, ISP and some government level security agencies may record information relating to your internet activity.

Comment Data

No personally identifiable information is collected when leaving a comment at If you leave a comment while logged in it will be associated with your user account.

General Usage Data

We use Google Analytics to monitor how people are using Google Analytics records information provided by your browser such as your operating system, what browser you are using, and sometimes what country you’re in. This information is recorded anonymously and allows us to get an overall picture of who is using our website and how they’re using it.

This type of information allows us to make improvements to based on real usage data which results in a higher quality service.
