I am Eris, my goddess of chaos.
There’s this part of me that’s always scared of trying out new things. Always intimidated by successful people.
That keeps me paralyzed with the fear of failure while the world moves on.
There’s this part of me that’s always sabotaging my goals, visions, and ambitions.
This part of me that’s everything I don’t want to be.
I’ve named her Eris.
She is my goddess of chaos.
She’s the guardian of the gates to my comfort zone and she is a strict guardian…she never lets me out.
Eris is the devil on my shoulder. She whispers her visions of my failure before I even start.
She paints pictures of my defeat before I can imagine a victory.
Every time I try something new she suffocates me.
Every time I try to breathe, she drowns me.
Every time I try to live, I merely survive.
She’s everywhere, she’s everywhere.
I see her everywhere.
Every time I get weak,
The veil between us thins and I cannot separate myself from her.
Every time I get weak,
I give Eris the reins of my life.
Eris…she is everything I do not want to be.
I am her and she is me.

Eris should just be a page in your life not the whole chapter.
