I’m a final year nursing student about to write my final exams but honestly, I’m scared. I’m scared of life after nursing school cause everyone’s going to see me as an adult, and someone mature; but I just don’t know what to do or how to feel.

It’s totally normal to have fear or anxiety while making the switch from school life to the working world, particularly in a field that is as important as nursing.

You worked hard to reach this point, and you have gained valuable knowledge and skills during your nursing program. Have confidence in your abilities and trust your training. Seek out experienced nurses or mentors who can provide guidance and support as you begin your nursing career. They can offer valuable insights and help you navigate challenges.

Feeling unsure during this transition is normal. You’re going to find a specialisation in the nursing profession as you gain understanding and experience over time. You have already come a long way, and your nursing career offers you the chance to significantly improve the lives of others.

Prioritize self-care to maintain your well-being. Take breaks, seek support when needed, as nursing can be really demanding.
