I understand you may have had a traumatic experience with your ex but don’t you think it’s fair for you to protect yourself and put your well-being first before any other person’s? Also, considering that your experiences may have impacted your mental wellness negatively, have you considered speaking with a therapist? Therapy might help you understand what you are feeling and also help you handle emotions.
